Climbing New Heights offers guided outdoor rock climbing trips to Seneca Rocks and other locations around West Virginia and the East Coast. Guide Phil Mastrangelo provides professional guide services in the Mid-Atlantic region. Phil is a Single Pitch Instructor, and long-time past instructor of the Monday night ClimbFit Class at Climbing New Heights.

Seneca Rocks is an amazing climbing destination. The south summit at 2,241’ elevation is said to be the only technical 5th class summit east of Devil’s Tower, Wyoming. Meaning you must climb multiple pitches of technical fifth class terrain to reach its summit. The area is known for stiff grading, and wonderful traditional climbing. There are numerous routes that span the entire grade spectrum from beginner to advanced. We can customize your Seneca experience to your level and experience.

Climbing New Heights guides offer climbing at other locations around the eastern panhandle. We have guided groups at popular locations such as Harpers Ferry WV, Elizabeth Furnace VA, Shenandoah National Park VA, New River Gorge WV, and others. All our guiding is subject to permitting. Week 1 of Kids Camp was awesome! The campers learned how different animals use their feet to climb, and got to check out Chris’ ice climbing gear, then try it out with #dryicetools.
